With the exception of NBC yearly coverage, no event gets much in the US, therefore no heroes are made, nobody sponsored by Gatorade and Nike and thus few parents signing their kids up for races. I chose the sport to give me a way to set athletic goals past the age of 30. Its the only sport I know of that makes that happens. Brad, as a parent of 13 and 11-year-old boys who are huge jocks, I can tell you my strategy, and it is a nice refutation to your facebook pal.

In addition to all the baseball and basketball they're signed up for, we add in liberal doses of surfing, mountain biking and even trail running. The goal? Give them activities they can enjoy past college and into adulthood.Gordonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00002282852119025791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588486935330908132.post-11205355381409331172008-11-21T08:46:00.000-08:002008-11-21T08:46:00.000-08:00Brad - isn't that the truth. You are supposed to be retired and now a runner. How is that going for you by the way?Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11775273804235656123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588486935330908132.post-47616517317312276222008-11-10T17:36:00.000-08:002008-11-10T17:36:00.000-08:00Mike,That's a fine idea.
